Cancellation & Refund Policy

🔒 Free cancellation up to 24 hours before your session. We believe in fair, transparent policies for both students and instructors.
Student Cancellations
- More than 24 hours before the session — Full refund to your original payment method, processed within 5–10 business days.
- Less than 24 hours before the session — No refund. The session fee is retained by the instructor as compensation for their reserved time.
- No-show — Treated as a <24h cancellation; no refund.
To cancel, go to Dashboard → My Bookings and press "Cancel Booking". Refunds are initiated automatically where eligible.
Instructor Cancellations
- Any time — Students receive a full refund if the instructor cancels. The slot is re-opened.
- Instructors who cancel more than 3 sessions in a rolling 30-day period may face account review.
- Instructors who cancel within 2 hours of a session with no valid reason may be subject to a penalty deducted from their next payout.
Weather & Force Majeure
If a session cannot take place due to extreme weather, natural disaster, or government restrictions, both parties may cancel without penalty. Evidence may be requested. Disputes are handled by our support team — contact support@surf-connect.com.
Price Bids — Cancellation
Bids that have been accepted and paid follow the same cancellation window as standard bookings. Pending (unaccepted) bids can be withdrawn at any time with no charge.
Photography Sessions
- Photo gallery purchases are non-refundable once access to full-resolution images has been granted.
- If a photography session is cancelled by the photographer before shooting, the session fee is fully refunded.
- If a student cancels more than 24 hours before, a full refund is issued. Less than 24 hours is non-refundable.
Refund Processing Times
- Refunds are processed to your original payment method via Stripe.
- It typically takes 5–10 business days for funds to appear in your account, depending on your bank or card provider.
- You will receive an email confirmation when a refund is initiated.
Disputes
If you believe a cancellation or refund was incorrectly handled, contact us within 14 days of the session date. We will review the case and respond within 5 business days.
